Renner Coatings, headquartered in Curitiba, has acquired the operations of Mekal Tintas, based in Carazinho/RS.

One of the divisions of the Renner Herrmann SA Group, headquartered in Porto Alegre and celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2027, Renner Coatings operates with a focus on high-performance and technologically advanced industrial paints, also known as high-performance paints; industrial maintenance paints; and marine paints.

Mekal, with 40 years in the market, focuses on high-performance liquid and powder industrial paints, with a large market share in Rio Grande do Sul, especially in the north of the state, where the largest national hub for the agricultural machinery and implements industry is concentrated.    

The company is characterized not only by the quality of its products, but also by the exceptional service it provides to its customers. This reputation has been built over decades and will be further strengthened through its integration with Renner Coatings.   

With the acquisition, in addition to adopting the renowned White Horse brand, Mekal will have access to a broad portfolio of technologically advanced products.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed by the parties.

Renner Coatings has experienced significant growth this decade. The construction of a state-of-the-art factory in Chile in 2020; the opening of a factory in Peru in 2022; and the purchase of FlexTintas - Powder Coatings, in Alumínio/SP, in 2024, are the most important and recent steps that preceded this acquisition in northern Rio Grande do Sul.

These moves by Renner Coatings are aligned with the growing consolidation of the coatings industry in Brazil and worldwide, and are part of strategic actions aimed at strengthening and expanding the company's market position.
